LNG: Debunking the Myths – Feb 11

My Sea to Sky invites you to an evening with Scientist David Hughes and Economist Marc Lee, who will provide a reality check on the B.C. Governments Liquid Natural Gas dream.

David Hughes brings four decades of research in the energy sector including 32 years with the Geological Survey of Canada as a scientist and research manager and work for the Post Carbon Institute.

Marc Lee, Senior Economist and Project Director of the Climate Justice Project with the Centre for Policy Alternatives, discuss issues like LNG employment estimates.

Local musician, Luke Wallace will kick off the evening with a performance from 6:30pm-7pm.

Bus from and to Ferry Terminal
The Clubhouse can be reached with the Blue Bus 250 route: Get off at Orchill Road.

Bus 250 – Vancouver bound leaves Ferry terminal at 5:33pm, 6:03pm or 6:35pm. Make sure to get off at bus-stop Orchill Road on Marine Dr. (5 to 10 minute walk from Ferry terminal) From there, it is a short walk to the clubhouse.

To return in time for the 9.30pm Ferry to Bowen Island, take the 250 Horseshoe Bay bound at 8.39pm or 9.06pm leaving from the opposite side of the street from the turn off to Orchill Road. Be at the bus-stop early!
