Woodfibre LNG cannot be built

We are in climate emergency and the building of new fossil fuel projects is simply perverse and deeply irresponsible. We must take human civilization from its current trajectory to make life on this planet unlivable. We can do our part by speaking out and coming out firmly against the building of the Woodfibre LNG facility in Átl’ḵa7tsem (Howesound).

Woodfibre LNG has arranged to present to Bowen Island Municipal Council on May 24, 2022, although Council has adopted two resolutions against the project, and has confirmed by a resolution that we are in a climate emergency.

Please be there on May 24, 2022. The Council meeting will start at 6pm. Woodfibre LNG will present at approximately 6:40pm.

The address of Bowen Island Municipal Hall is 981 Artisan Lane.

If you want to comment to Council please go here to see how to do that. PLEASE do so before 6pm on the day of the meeting.

OPINION: Woodfibre doesn’t align with climate emergency
